Travelling to Telford

Telford has excellent local, national and international transport links - so it's easy to get to us.  Our UK central location also makes us an ideal base to explore the rest of the UK.

To travel to Telford from outside the UK, you should try and get a flight to Birmingham International Airport (BHX), which is closest to the campus. It has a railway station with frequent, direct services to Telford. The journey to Telford Central station from Birmingham International airport takes around 55 minutes. You can book a train ticket here https://www.thetrainline.com/

The UK has a number of train companies that operate, and you do not always get the cheapest ticket available to you by using the link above. It is worth knowing that you can get very cheap train tickets from London to Birmingham using the Chiltern Railways, which leave from London Marylebone, use this link to find tickets https://www.chilternrailways.co.uk. The train goes to Birmingham Moor Street station, and there is a 10 mins walk to Birmingham New Street where you can get a train to Telford Central station. Tickets from London with Chiltern Railways can be as cheap as £5 when bought in advance.

If you cannot get a flight to Birmingham, the other options are Manchester (MAN) or London (LHR).

There are connections from all airports to the West Midlands / Shropshire area.

From Manchester, Heathrow and Gatwick Airports, you can also get an express coach http://www.nationalexpress.com/home.aspx

Telford Campus

‌‌Telford is our youngest campus and a place where technology is pushed to new limits.  It's possibly the brightest place in one of our greenest counties.

You will find us near to – but just far enough from –  Junction 5 of the M54.
